About Romano Law P.C.

Prior to beginning defense work, I acquired over seven years experience in criminal prosecution working as a deputy district attorney. I had the opportunity to not only work extensively on DUII and other traffic crimes, but I also handled drug cases and major (i.e. Measure 11) felonies. Between government and private practice, I've spent literally thousands of hours in the courtroom and I've personally handled over 200 jury trials. I am an active member of the National College for DUI Defense, the Oregon Criminal Defense Lawyer's Association, and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Central Oregon is a beautiful place to live. But I don't watercolor, fish, mountain bike, or rockclimb. Frankly, I spend most of my waking hours working on my client's cases because they are important.

My goal in DUII defense is to thoroughly advise my clients as to the potential consequences of the charges they are facing, to advise them of the best course of action, and to provide aggressive representation in plea negotiations, motion hearings and trial. DUII charges are serious matters and I make it my duty to hold the government to their burden of proof. I am not only interested in what my clients did or didn't do, but I want to know what the State of Oregon can prove beyond any reasonable doubt. If you find yourself in the unfortunate position of facing a DUII charge, contact me to be sure you know all of your legal options, and to make sure that your rights are protected.

Sincerely,
Michael Romano
